These dark chocolate ganache dipped strawberries are simple to make. The cool fruit tastes delicious with steaming hot dark chocolate ganache! White chocolate or sprinkles may be drizzled over the dark chocolate for a fancier look. They are perfect for your anniversary, Valentine's Day gifts, and wedding favors.

"I've made a lot of chocolate covered strawberries before but adding the milk to the dark chocolate really made it super smooth, soft, and easy dipping. Also using a toothpick to hold the strawberries is such a simple and effective method! My husband and I ate half of them within the hour and they were perfect. Absolutely beautiful and decadent and very easy!"

Dark Chocolate Ganache Dipped Strawberries Recipe
Servings: 20
Ingredients
Four 4-ounce quality dark chocolate bars (113g each), finely chopped
2 cups (8 ounces; 240ml) heavy cream or heavy whipping cream (lactose free whole milk works well too)
Toothpicks
1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves
Directions
Make the Dark Chocolate Ganache
Place chopped chocolate in a medium heat-proof bowl. Heat the cream or milk in a small saucepan slowly over medium heat until it begins to gently simmer. Pour over the dark chocolate, then let it sit for 2–3 minutes to gently soften the chocolate.
With a metal spoon or small silicone spatula, slowly stir until completely combined and chocolate has melted. The finer you chopped the chocolate, the quicker it will melt with the cream or milk.
Ganache should be steaming and be ready to use as a drizzle.
Dip the Strawberries
Insert toothpicks into tops (stem ends) of strawberries. Hold a strawberry by the toothpick and dip it into the steaming chocolate ganache. You can hold the strawberries by the green stem, but sometimes they might break off.
Repeat with remaining strawberries.
Eat while the ganache is still hot!
Baker's Tips:
You can leave the chocolate-covered strawberries plain, drizzle them with white or milk chocolate, or coat them in sprinkles or chopped nuts. For Valentine's Day, decorate your ganache strawberries with frosting bow ties, bells, butterflies, hearts, roses, etc.
Other topping ideas:
Finely chopped nuts (peanuts, pistachios, pecans, etc.)
Toasted coconut
Sprinkles! I used clear pink sugar sprinkles for Valentine's Gift Box.
Graham cracker crumbs
Crushed Oreo cookies
Melted chocolate
Crushed candy canes
